Everyone is anxious waiting to know all about the eagerly awaited Apple Tablet device aka iSlate/iPad/iTablet. It is highly expected to be announced at the Apple media event on 27th January 2009 in San Francisco. Previously, a number of ‘supposedly’ leaked photos and videos of iSlate caught our attention. The designer turned blogger Dustin Curtis has uploaded pictures of Apple Tablet on a Macbook Pro which can be seen in the images below.
Next Wednesday, Apple in its mega event will raise curtains and release its highly anticipated device dubbed as iTablet/iPad or iSlate. According to the sources at Apple Insider, the device will sport that familiar look and feel of the original iPhone which was released back in 2007. It will also have lot many similarities staring from the industrial design down to the handset button and other connectivity components.
Here we go again. Another day, another concept video of the upcoming Apple iTablet/iSlate surfaces in the wild. Obviously this isn't the real deal, just another *fake* mockup by a French site named BeGeek.fr. Thought I would just share it with you all to see the concept of an OS, which is a mixture of OS X and iPhone OS in action. Video after the jump.
The concept images attached below are some of the best concept art I have seen in a while for the upcoming Apple tablet dubbed “iSlate”. Of course we don't know what kind of design folks at Cupertino have in mind for this niche market, neither do we know who the target audience is or what kind of functionality will it provide. But what we do know is that Apple is going to announce something on these lines on January 26, 2010, at a mega event to be held at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.
A little while ago, Digitimes has published a story stating Foxconn's screen division Innolux, to supply Apple with a 10-inch screen for its upcoming Tablet. It has further added that the panels are being strength treated by G-Tech Optoelectronics, also a division of Foxconn. Concurrently, Macrumors is quoting Taiwan's Economic Daily paper, stating that Cheng Uei Precision Industry today has received an order for "connectors" for Apple's new tablet computer.
The rumors about the release of Apple’s long awaited Tablet has been on fire for the last few days and so are the speculations about its name. A day earlier, we informed you that Apple had secretly purchased the domain "iSlate.com" back in 2007. Domain was registered through some intermediary by the name ‘Markmonitor.com’ to disguise the real owner. You can check out the screenshot of that registration form which we have posted here.
According to informed sources at BGR, Apple has asked a few selected developers to prepare their apps that should support full screen resolution, and should be designed in a way to run on a larger screen rather than a 320×480 resolution screen of the iPhone. This news have given strength to the belief that Apple in its labs, has been discreetly preparing the long-rumored 7-inch tablet device to be made public in an event held in January 2010. Rumor also has it that a 9, and 11 inches tablets will follow this 7-inches tablet soon after.
Up until now, we all have seen countless concept prototypes that shows off the supposedly rumored Apple Tablet which the folks in Cupertino have been secretly working on. But none of them comes close to this one, published by a French site named NoWhereElse. This is the prototype that I for one wish was for real.
