Everyone should have access to an Apple Store. It's almost a basic human right - like clean water and McDonald’s. But while most countries have some sort of retail outlet peddling products fresh from Cupertino, not everywhere has an official Apple Store.
Apple's iPhone 5 was predicted to be the biggest smartphone release of the year, and so has proven to be the case. The first weekend sales eclipsed that of any other handset released in 2012, but despite high demand, yield issues have prevented the Cupertino company from producing the numbers to adequately meet demand. Initially, those looking to order the iPhone 5 from Apple's online Store were met with a wait of up to four weeks, but with that wait having recently been slashed to one week, the latest and greatest Apple smartphone is now listing as "in stock" in a handful of countries.
Not content with simply releasing a new version of iOS to beta testers, a new version of Mac OS X that is almost complete and a new line of MacBook Pros, Apple has today added another update to its roster. This time, it's the Apple Store iPhone app that sees the update magic applied.
Remember that 'Wake Up' advertising campaign that was part of the reason a bus full of people turned up outside an Apple Store in Australia? Remember how the talk of the Internet was that the whole thing was part of a Samsung campaign against Apple? Turns out that might not be entirely accurate.

Some of you may have read my post yesterday regarding a problem being suffered at the hands of people using an Apple device running iOS 3.1.3, if not then you can familiarize yourself by reading it here so that this update will make more sense. In brief, a large number of of iDevice users has reported via the Apple Support Communities forums that when attempting to access the App Store via a device running iOS 3.1.3 they were greeted with a non functioning platform. Some users experienced a total App Store black out with no functionality whatsoever, whereas some could actually download updates to already installed applications but could not browse or purchase new apps.

When Apple began opening its brick and mortar retail stores; many thought someone at the company had been drinking a little too much Kool Aid. Nobody wanted to walk into a store and buy a computer, right?
According to a report published a few hours ago, Apple is preparing its retail stores for an all new self-check-out-without-confirming system called EasyPay.
