Stray, a popular game in which players take on the role of a cat in a cybercity of the future, is coming to the Mac for the first time.
The game was first announced in 2022 and has been available on consoles and the PC, but now it’s coming to all Apple silicon Macs later this year. Publisher Annapurna Interactive hasn’t confirmed exactly when it will launch, however.
Lost, alone and separated from family, a stray cat must untangle an ancient mystery to escape a long-forgotten cybercity and find their way home.
The Stray announcement comes shortly after it was confirmed that No Man’s Sky is finally available for the Mac after first being announced almost a year ago.
The fact that Stray was announced straight after the arrival of No Man’s Sky might suggest that Apple would normally have announced them during WWDC on June 5. But that event is already shaping up to run for more than two hours according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, with multiple products on the docket.
Apple is expected to announce the Reality Pro AR/VR headset on Monday, likely with a gaming component. We’re also expecting a 15-inch MacBook Air and upgraded Mac Studio not to mention a whole raft of software updates including those for the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV.
