We still don’t know when Sony intends to release the PS5 or indeed when it intends to tell us when it will be releasing it, but we do at least have some new news about the console. Or, more accurately, its games. We now know what PS5 game boxes will look like.
Isn’t that exciting?
Sony showed off the box for the hotly anticipated Spider-Man Miles Morales game and it looks pretty similar to what we’re already used to. It comes in a lovely shade of blue with cover art that wraps around three sizes of the plastic box.
Sony left us with a simple question at the bottom of a very short blog post.
Any thoughts on the new look?
New? So the top ribbon that names the game console – PS5 in this case – has now gained new colors. The text is black and the background is white. That’s, as far as we can tell, the only change going on here. Is that enough for anyone to get excited about?
No, probably not.
Do you know what would get people excited? Telling them when the PS5 will launch and how many kidneys they’ll need to sell to buy one.
Come and get me when that happens, please.
