Here are Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Vs iPhone 14 Pro speed test in real-world situation.
Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro Max has been around for a little while and the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is brand new. So when you put the two up against each other in a speed test what will happen?
Turns out, that’s complicated. And the while the Samsung became the first Android phone to beat its iPhone counterpart, there’s more to this story than you might think.
The speed test was carried out by YouTuber PhoneBuff who compared a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and iPhone 14 Pro Max against each other when opening a suite of apps one by one. Once all of the apps had been opened the test saw them re-opened in reverse, testing how well the devices handled multitasking.
In terms of results, you can watch the video for yourself but it’s all very interesting. First, the Galaxy S23 Ultra won out in the first run-through of apps, making it the first to beat an iPhone in years. However, when it came to the second run the iPhone handled reopening the apps better, making up the ground.
At the end, both of the flagship basically finished at the same time, meaning the overall speed test was a tie.
For comparison, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and 12GB of RAM, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max has an Apple A16 Bionic and 6GB of RAM. Both have fast storage with UFS 4.0n and NVMe respectively.
