After months or rumors Samsung has today announced its new Galaxy S23 lineup including a phone that has a whopping 200-megapixel main camera.
The lineup includes the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra with prices starting at $799 and working their way up from there depending on the configuration chosen.
Starting with the Galaxy S23, it starts at $799 and has a 6.1-inch FHD+ display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. A 3900mAh battery supports 25W fast charging and 15W wireless charging.
Its larger cousin, the Galaxy S23+, comes with a 6.6-inch display with the same 120Hz refresh rate. A larger 4700mAh battery should get you longer battery life, while wired 45W charging joins the 15W wireless charging option. Pricing for the Galaxy S23+ starts at $999.
No matter which of those phones you choose you’ll get the same 12-megapixel selfie camera while around the back you’ll see a 50-megapixel camera.
Alongside that, a 10-megapixel 3x optical zoom can be found while a 12-megapixel camera handles ultrawide duties. 8K video recording is supported, but only at 30fps.
The real phone everyone wants is the Galaxy S23 Ultra, though. That comes with a 6.8-inch QHD+ display that supports the S Pen, with one thrown in the box. And there’s a silo for it as well, making this a true Galaxy Note replacement.
Around the back there is a massive 200-megapixel main camera, with a 12-megapixel ultrawide joined by two 10-megapixel zoom cameras — one 10x, the other 3x.
In terms of battery, there’s a 5,000mAh part with the 45W fast charging we mentioned earlier and the same 15W maximum wireless charging rate.
For all of that you’ll pay a price starting from $1199 with storage options going all the way up to 1TB. All of the phones ship with Android 13 installed and come in the same Phantom Black, Cream, Lavender, and Green colors. Pre-orders are open now with devices in stores on February 17.
