Rumored Tesla Model Y Refresh Could Finally Happen In Q1 2025

Ever since the Tesla Model 3 was refreshed via the Highland facelift there have been rumors that the Model Y would get a similar update, and now a new report claims that it could happen in the first quarter of 2025.

The report out of the Chinese supply chain claims that the refreshed version of the Model Y is being planned under the codename Juniper with a 7-seat version of the vehicle also expected to arrive towards the end of 2025.

Tesla Model Y was the world’s best-selling car last year. We have learned exclusively that Tesla plans to deliver two modified Model Y models next year. Among them, the 5-seat version of the new Model Y, code-named “Juniper”, is expected to be delivered in the first quarter; the other is the 7-seat version of the Model Y, which is expected to be delivered in the fourth quarter.

This of course isn’t the first time that we have seen suggestions of a refreshed Model Y and we’ve even seen the vehicle itself. Camouflaged Model 3 prototypes have been spied driving around California in recent months which suggests that something is afoot.

This new supply chain report has added further fuel to the fire and anyone who has their eye on a new Model Y should perhaps consider waiting to see what these rumors turn into before making their purchase.

The report suggests that most of the refreshed Model 3’s new features and design language will make the jump to the Model Y, including a sharper front end.
