After announcing that Resident Evil Village will come to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro when the devices were announced on September 12, Apple and Capcom have confirmed that the game will debut on October 30.
The new game will be available on all A17 Prod devices, which currently means the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. But it’ll also work on all iPads that have the M1 or later inside.
Set three years after the events of Resident Evil 7 biohazard, Resident Evil Village once again sees tragedy befall the Winters family. After their home is attacked, Ethan ventures into an eerie village to rescue his kidnapped daughter, Rose. Resident Evil Village resumes Ethan’s journey in the first-person view with photorealistic visuals that take survival horror to the next level. The Winters’ Expansion introduces three additional pieces of content: Third Person Mode, The Mercenaries Additional Orders, and Shadows of Rose, an epilogue to the story set 16 years after the main game. This award-winning title has sold over 8 million copies since its debut in May 2021.
When it goes on sale the new game will be available as an initial free download and act as a demo, but an in-app purchase will be required if people want to unlock the full game.
That’ll cost $39.99 while a new Winters’ Expansion pack will also be available for an extra $19.99.
However, those who already own the Mac version won’t be able to get the new iPhone and iPad version for free — it’s an additional App Store item and requires separate purchases.
