Apple is reportedly getting ready to announce the new iPhone 14 lineup as well as the Apple Watch Series 8, with the company already recording the virtual event that will see the products announced.
Apple is already recording the event ahead of the September event, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
Gurman was writing in his weekly Power On newsletter when he noted that preparations were already well underway. “This isn’t entirely surprising, but I’m told that Apple has started to record and assemble its September media event, which is likely to take place in the first half of the month (as usual),” Gurman said, before going on to say that we should expect the new iPhones, latest Apple Watch, and rugged Apple Watch to be announced via the pre-recorded event.
Apple has continued to announce products via pre-recorded event ever since the COVID-19 pandemic put an end to the in-person events that were once so popular. Now that the pandemic isn’t as prominent as it once was, Apple is still expected to continue with virtual events including the annual WWDC event every June.
Beyond the new iPhones and Apple Watches, there are still likely to be other products announced before the end of the year.
The first Apple silicon Mac Pro is thought to be on the horizon, while new iPad and MacBook Pros are also likely to be announced before 2022 draws to a close.
