Real Racing 3 Arrives On Apple TV 4 With Split-Screen Multiplayer Mode And More

The general consensus appears to be that if you have an extremely popular game that continues to get traction and downloads in what is essentially a saturated app store, then you should support and regularly update that game. Which is exactly what Electronic Arts have done with the fabulous Real Racing 3 franchise over the last three years. After initially being released for iOS devices back in February 2013, EA has continued to pump out updates bringing new tracks, new vehicles and an improved gameplay experience. EA’s latest ‘Daytona 500’ update to Real Racing 3 continues that improvement by bringing support for Apple TV 4, among other things.

The update clearly shows that there’s a long-term commitment to this franchise from Electronic Arts. Given the success that has been achieved by Real Racing 3 over the last three years, it’s hardly surprising that EA would want to not only continue to build the experience, but also adopt and support additional platforms that are growing in stature. The support for the Apple TV 4 means that racing fans can enjoy the immersive racing experience that Real Racing 3 offers directly on a connected large screen TV in the living room which is simply the perfect setup for this type of a game.

One of the biggest highlight feature of Apple TV version of the game is the split-screen multiplayer experience called Party Play which brings exhilarating experience for gamers on the big screen. EA is also offering the feature of cross-device cloud saves.

Additionally, Electronic Arts have also expanded the experience by introducing two new vehicles; the Ford Shelby GT350R, and the 2015 Mustang GT. If you’re a fan of extremely powerful muscle cars then you’re going to love playing with these two new vehicles on the new Daytona event. Not a muscle car fan? How about jumping into the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento as part of a new event called “The Sixth Element”?

Apple has been extremely keen to push the fourth-gen Apple TV as an all-round, living room-based entertainment device that serves up movies, TV shows, third-party apps across all genres, and cutting-edge mobile gaming that can rival console gameplay. Seeing the likes of EA adopt the ‘TV’ platform to push epic titles like Real Racing 3 adds some serious validity to the new Apple TV.

In addition to Apple TV support, EA has also released Real Racing 3 for those with Android TV-powered set-top boxes.

Real Racing 3 is available for free with a ton of in-app purchase options.
