According to the sources at The New York Times, President of the United States Barack Obama flew to California today where he had a one-on-one meeting with Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs. Their meeting was later confirmed by Robert Gibbs, who is the press secretary at the White House.
President Obama happens to be on a West Coast campaign these days for mid-term elections. According to Robert Gibbs, President was interested in having a meeting with Apple’s Chief Executive for quite some time now.
The two met at the President’s hotel outside San Francisco shortly after he landed in the Bay Area this afternoon. Obama and Jobs reportedly talked about a number of issues such as the current economy, education, innovation and technology. [via NYTimes | Image via TUAW]
