Apple has begun accepting pre-orders for two of the new products that it announced during its recent media event at Apple Park. The company’s online store has reappeared after going down for the event, and with it comes pre-order availability for Apple Watch Series 5 and Apple’s seventh-generation iPad.
Plenty of Apple lovers will be hitting Apple’s site in the hope that iPhone 11 is listed for pre-order, but alas, for the time being, it is purely the Series 5 Apple Watch and the brand new seventh-generation iPad.
In regards to the latter, the new seventh-generation iPad replaces Apple’s sixth-generation offering but also comes with a slightly larger 10.2-inch display. It is the new “entry-level” iPad model and will immediately appeal to people who don’t want the power and price-tag of iPad Pro and who are constrained by a sensible budget.
Pricing for the new iPad starts at just $329 and it comes finished in a choice of colors with an improved A10 Fusion processor, compatibility with Apple Pencil, and, of course, that gorgeous larger display.
The seventh-generation iPad is definitely going to be a popular model at that price but so is Apple Watch Series 5. Apple’s latest smartwatch comes with an improved always-on display, a brand new Compass app built into the Watch, and will expose the ability to make international emergency calling. Design-wise, the hardware hasn’t changed at all and it’s definitely going to be that gorgeous new always-on display which captures attention for this smartwatch.
Apple Watch Series 5 is offered in Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Titanium, and Ceramic, and prices will start at $399 for purely GPS and $499 for the Aluminum models feature LTE. Obviously, as you go up through the range, the price rises quite dramatically. As an example, if you want to feel all fancy and premium and opt for the Ceramic model, then your price will start at $899. As mentioned, pre-orders for the aforementioned devices are available right now with shipping set to start on September 20, 2019.
If Apple Watch Series 5 is not for you – due to design or price – then it could be worth picking up the Series 3 iteration for just $199. If iPhone 11 is what you’re after, then exercise some patience as you have approximately three days to wait before pre-orders are live.
