The Tesla Model 3 has undergone something of an upgrade of late thanks to a refresh known as Highland. Now, it appears that Highland refresh is also coming to the speedy Tesla Model 3 Performance, too.
The Model 3 refresh first launched in Europe and Asia last summer before finally coming to North America in the new year.
But at the time Tesla only updated the RWD Standard Range and Dual Motor Long Range versions, leaving the Model 3 Performance unavailable. However, it appears that a camouflaged version of the electric vehicle has made its debut on the streets of San Francisco.
Interestingly, the EV was a right-hand drive model but the camouflaged areas do appear to be hiding updated, possibly more aggressive front and rear bumpers.
That has led some to ponder that we might be looking at an updated Model 3 Performance for the first time, with Electrek noting that the car in a video shared on TikTok and X sports performance brake calipers which has always been a key differentiator between the standard and Performance Model 3.
With that in mind it now seems likely that Tesla is indeed testing a Model 3 Performance Highland, but it’s unclear how long it could be before it is officially announced or goes on sale. All eyes will now be on Tesla to see what it does next and whether more shots of this vehicle will leak online.
