If you’re a big Pokemon Go player, then you will be all too familiar with the brain-numbing infuriation that the game’s ball throwing mechanic can cause. It’s an issue that even the game’s makers Niantic have acknowledged, and if you find that you’re missing more throws than normal, then we might have a handy little trick that could, hopefully, help you out.
Discovered by an enthusiast, the so-called “L throw” should see you getting a little bit closer to catching them all, even if it can’t guarantee 100% success. Still, any improvement on the mess that is the current system has to be a positive, right?
The “L throw” boils down to a couple of simple moves that anyone can try out. Simply drag the Poké Ball to the left or right side of the screen on your smartphone and don’t release it on the upswing until you reach the height of the Pokemon. That should see you throw the ball right where it needs to be. Your new Pokemon should be inside that ball quicker than Niantic can close down a Pokemon Go cheat site. Speaking of cheating, don’t worry, nothing you are doing here is going to get you into trouble. It’s all perfectly legit!
This process also works for curve balls – we know you were wondering – and all that needs to be done differently in that case is to curve the ball before moving it towards the edge of the screen. What could be more simple than that?
Not a lot, really, which is why we think this little tip could revolutionize our Pokemon-catching game. Hopefully, it will do the same for you. If it doesn’t, at least you’ll be catching more Pokemon! Try it out and let us know if it helps you save the precious commodity that are Poké Balls.
