Pokemon Go 1.15.0 For iOS And 0.45.0 For Android Update Released, Here’s What Is New

Niantic Labs is in the process of rolling out Pokemon Go 1.15.0 for iOS and 0.45.0 for Android. With this update, the team is looking to not only push the title forward, but to also ensure that Trainers remain loyal to the experience and don’t hit that delete button/uninstall button on the app.

The latest update of course means that gamers have yet more features and functionality to interact with, as well as being able to enjoy a more fluid experience thanks to a number of bug fixes.

One of the more notable additions to version 1.15.0 / 0.45.0 is the integration of the new daily bonuses feature which was detailed earlier, and essentially looks to reward Trainers for performing tasks on a daily basis.

Players will be rewarded with additional XP – which in turn will increase the speed at which a player can level up – for things like catching the first Pokémon of the day, or visiting a PokéStop. This feature will reset every day at 12AM local time, and will involve higher rewards when a task is performed for seven consecutive days. It’s clear that Niantic is looking for ways to get people into the app on a more frequent basis.

The development team behind the title has also made some changes to Gyms. Now, when a Trainer defeats the Gym Leader in a battle, there is a small brief period of time where only that victor can place a Pokémon in the open Gym. Niantic has also increased the amount of Prestige that a rival Gym loses when a regular Gym member is defeated. Conversely, the amount of Prestige granted by training at a friendly Gym has been lowered.

Additionally, and as we have come to expect, Niantic has also bundled in a number of behind-the-scenes bug fixes that should hopefully allow Trainers to have a better Pokémon Go experience with few issues or visual glitches. However, there’s still no global rollout of the new Nearby Pokémon feature that was recently extended beyond the San Francisco Bay area.

The latest version of Pokémon Go should be ready and waiting in the iOS App Store and the Google Play Store. Just head on over to the relevant store to update your Pokémon Go installation immediately.
