Its finally here ! The newly released Skype 2.0 for iPhone enables the much awaited VoIP calls over 3G network. While replying to a tweet, MuscleNerd of iPhone Dev Team has confirmed that an unlock for iPhone 3G/3GS on 05.12.01 baseband will be released once Apple announces the new iPhone along with final GM version of iPhone OS 4. This announcement is expected to be made at WWDC 2010 so it wont be long before we finally get our iPhones unlocked on this baseband.
According to the sources at TechCrunch, the next version of iPhone OS, which is set to release this June will have Bing as its default search engine in Mobile Safari. Wi-Fi Sync app has to be among one of the most useful jailbreak apps that we’ve seen for iPhone and iPad. With Wi-Fi Sync, you can wirelessly sync your iPhone and iPad over Wi-Fi network without having to connect any wire between your phone and computer. According to the sources at Engadget, the next iteration of Apple TV will get a much needed complete revamp. Apparently, an ex-Apple employee has managed to successfully jailbreak iPhone 3GS on iPhone OS 4 Beta. The redsn0w 0.9.5 jailbreak tool for iPhone OS 4 currently works on iPhone 3G only. The support for other iDevices will naturally follow once Apple releases iPhone OS 4 at WWDC. But KaatjeNL’s jailbreak method works on iPhone 3GS too. And the best thing about it is that it doesn't upgrade your baseband, which means you can enjoy iPhone OS 4, fully jailbroken on the older baseband with an unlock using ultrasn0w.
Though the whole leaked iPhone 4G / HD fiasco might’ve spoiled quite a lot of fun for some, but now according to this latest report by DigiTimes, Apple already has a backup design for their new iPhone 4G / HD which looks quite a lot like the current iPhone 3G/3GS design. This backup plan was kept in case if Apple had complications in mass producing the new design which we’ve already seen in the double-leak by Gizmodo and from the folks in Vietnam.
Although it’s quite evident that the new iPhone 4G / HD will hit the shelves this June, but now another report has just came in which AT&T has confirmed to it’s employees that there will be a new iPhone and it will hit the stores this June.
