Shortly after releasing public beta 3 of iOS 9.3.2 to testers, Apple has now released OS X 10.11.5 beta 3 to both developers and public beta testers, as well as tvOS 9.2.1 beta 3 for Apple TV 4 to developers registered of Apple Developer Program.

OS X 10.11.5 Beta 3

OS X 10.11.5 El Capitan is a minor point update over OS X 10.11.4 which brings under-the-hood performance improvements, security patches, and bug fixes to compatible Macs. With WWDC 2016 not too far away now, it is likely that any major feature from here on till WWDC will be kept for the next version of OS X, which by the way is likely to be rebranded as ‘MacOS‘ to keep the OS naming in line with Apple’s iOS, watchOS and tvOS.

Today’s beta 3 seed of OS X 10.11.5 doesn’t appear to include any outward-facing changes but in case we spot anything new, we’ll update this post accordingly.

tvOS 9.2.1 Beta 3

Just like OS X 10.11.5, iOS 9.3.2 and watchOS 2.2.1, tvOS 9.2.1 for Apple TV is a minor update as well which brings fixes and improvements to the new 4th-generation set-top box from Apple. Today’s beta 3 update for tvOS 9.2.1 doesn’t include any major changes except for the usual bug fixes and improvements. As is usual the case, if we find anything new in tvOS 9.2.1 beta 3, we’ll update the post and list the changes below.

You can download the said developer betas either from developer.apple.com or directly as an OTA update from the device itself. Similarly, public betas are available from either beta.apple.com or directly as on OTA update from the devices themselves.
