It has been confirmed by Opera via their official twitter account that they have sent their most renowned mobile browser Opera Mini today to Apple for approval. So where’s the Safari headed after this? Another browser war on the rise? or just a step by Opera to gain publicity.
For those who don’t know what Opera Mini is, it’s a free browser by Opera itself for cell phones. Opera Mini has been the browser of choice by millions of users due to it’s high speed browsing and it’s amazing page rendering techniques. Opera showed off the Opera Mini on iPhone at the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona this year, and it was as appealing as Opera running on any other mobile platform like Android, simply superb!
According to Opera, Mini is 100% compliant and meets every App Store policy laid down by Apple. So should we expect the Mini to be in the App Store soon? All we can do is wait and find out.
