Official Apple Apps Updated For iOS 8, Here’s The Complete List

Unless you’ve been too busy to check the tech headlines today, you’ll know that Apple has just rolled out iOS 8, and with developers having scrambled to make the necessary tweaks to their apps, the Cupertino company has been making some adjustments of its own. A number of Apple-made applications have just been updated for iOS 8, and we’ve got all of the info right here.

Apple has pushed new versions some of its most treasured iOS apps. For the most part, we’re not talking about feature updates. Instead, these newly-updated apps have been modified for compatibility with the just-released software. Still, it’s always worth knowing which ones will work right off the bat, and below, you can find out exactly which ones are now iOS 8-ready.

Remote

This app, which lets you control your Apple TV and iTunes content through iOS, has been updated for iOS 8.

Logic Remote

With Logic Remote, you can tap into both GarageBand and Logic X on your Mac.

iTunes U

Apple’s source of education-related content is now primed and ready for iOS 8.

Podcasts

Podcasts is bundled along with iOS 8, and so naturally, has also been updated.

Find My iPhone

As well as being updated for iOS 8, Find My iPhone also brings Family Sharing.

Beats Music

Along with the customary iOS 8 bump, the Beats Music app allows listeners to share links via Messages and Mail, as well as integrated social networks Facebook and Twitter.

AirPort Utility

This router-centric update is now ready to rock on iOS 8.

Numbers

The only app updated for iOS 8 from Apple’s iWork suite for now, but we’re certain that Pages and Keynote will follow suite.

iMovie

A solid and feature rich movie editing app from Apple now comes with full support for iOS 8.

iTunes Movie Trailers

Finally, iTunes Movie Trailers for iOS 8 has been rolled out, and as with all of the aforementioned apps, it’s free to download.

It’s likely that some of your favorite apps won’t yet be ready for iOS 8, including some of those authored by Apple. Don’t panic, though – this is a regular occurrence when Apple updates its software, and over the next couple of weeks, the authors of said apps will be making the necessary optimizations.
