At 11 a.m eastern today, News Corp. along with Apple held a conference for the launch of “The Daily”, an initiative to integrate the conventional journalism with best of the technology to evolve it into new journalism.
“The Daily” makes reading papers a much better experience with HD videos and animations, cutting drop the price of printing and publishing. “The Daily” costs only about 14 cents a day, 99 cents a week and 39.99 USD an year.
“The Daily” also incorporates the social factor into the news, which makes reading a much better experience, allowing you to share the news in your social cirlce through Twitter, Facebook, Emails etc.
The iPad let’s “The Daily” deliver content in a way never done before, integrating features of papers, television, magazines in a single publication. You can have your news anchor read for you, listen to the news like a radio or simply read the old school way.
With 100s of stories publishing everyday, “The Daily” will have features such as randomization, to help you find better content.
The Daily will be available on the App Store starting at 12 p.m. EST. The app is now available in the store, you can grab it here
