Tesla has recently released an updated version of its app, version 4.23, and it brings with it a number of new changes. Here’s what’s new.
Tesla routinely updates its apps for both Android and iPhone and it often adds new features as part of that. Today’s new version 4.23 update does add some new stuff for people to try as NotATeslaApp reports.
One notable thing is something that isn’t actually available yet, but does appear to be on the way. New references in the Tesla update suggest that the company is working on adding AirPlay support to its in-car entertainment system.
It appears Tesla is starting to implement AirPlay to allow higher quality streaming of audio and potentially video content to your vehicle according to findings from Tesla App iOS.
Other changes include a slight visual refresh of the page used to reset a Tesla profile as well as new additions to the Quick Links section. New links to support, vehicle maintenance documents, and video tutorials have all been added.
Other minor changes include a very slight app icon update to change the shade of red used as well as the usual array of unannounced fixes and improvements.
As always we would suggest that Tesla owners use the latest version of the Tesla app wherever possible to ensure that there are fewer chances for something to not work correctly when it’s needed most. The updates app is now available as a free download.
