Samsung has released three new ads for its Galaxy S21 Ultra phone, all aiming to mock Apple’s iPhone 12 Pro Max rather than actually promoting its own features.
All three ads highlight the camera capabilities of the Galaxy S21 Ultra.
In the first ad Samsung focuses on the 100x Space Zoom which Apple’s phones simply cannot compete with. The video goes on to show the difference between the two phones based on images taken of the moon.
The second video shows Samsung’s 108-megapixel at its best, again compared with the 12-megapixel shooter offered in the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The video uses a zoomed-in image to highlight the improved sharpness of the Samsung phone’s cameras.
The third and final ad compares Samsung’s Single Take feature with Apple’s Live Photo. Samsung’s feature takes 14 types of photos and videos within ten seconds of a capture, whereas Live Photos are three seconds of video captured at the time a photo was taken.
Samsung has years of experience trying to point out the flaws of Apple’s iPhones, often with limited success. It’s a matter for debate whether it comes out on top here, especially considering we already know that the iPhone’s cameras are among the best for general photo use and undoubtedly the best in terms of video capture.
