Apple will ship a new MacBook Air in the second quarter of 2023, according to a new report. This comes just a day after it was claimed by another report that Apple will announce its first 15-inch MacBook Air as soon as April.
This latest report comes courtesy of Taiwanese supply chain watchers DigiTimes, with the report suggesting that a new MacBook Air will arrive in the second quarter following the slowdown of the existing model’s shipments.
The first quarter of 2023 is expected to see Apple’s MacBook shipping low, but the second quarter will see the release of a new MacBook Air series, according to industry sources.
The second quarter of 2023 begins in April and runs through June, perhaps marrying up nicely with a report by display analyst Ross Young. That report has Apple shipping its 15-inch MacBook Air in the same quarter, specifically April.
With DigiTimes saying that a MacBook Air series will ship in the second quarter, it’s possible that it too is referencing the 15-inch MacBook Air alongside a refreshed version of the current 13-inch model. It isn’t clear at this point whether that’s the case, however.
If Apple is indeed going to ship new MacBook Air models in the next few months we can likely expect to see more information leak between now and then.
