New M4 iMac With Apple Intelligence And More Announced

Apple has just announced the new iMac powered by the M4 chip, and ‘supercharged by Apple Intelligence’.

The new iMac boasts a range of exciting improvements, including a starting price of $1,299 for the entry-level model with two Thunderbolt USB-C 4 ports. Higher-end models begin at $1,499 and offer four ports.

The new iMac retains its 24-inch, 4.5K display and adds an innovative “nano-texture glass option” for $200, designed to reduce reflections and glare. Additionally, the base RAM has been doubled to 16GB, with the option to configure up to 32GB on higher-end models.

This release marks a significant milestone, as the M4 chip makes its debut in the Mac lineup after being announced alongside new iPad Pros in May. The M4 chip boasts impressive performance, with a CPU featuring up to 10 cores and a 10-core GPU.

Other notable features include a 12MP webcam, AI-powered writing and editing capabilities, and a redesigned Siri experience. The updated iMac is available for preorder today, with availability starting on November 8th, and comes in seven vibrant colors.

The new iMac arrives approximately a year after the M3-powered model, which offered a significant speed boost over its predecessor. Apple has confirmed that there are no plans to replace the discontinued 27-inch Intel-powered model, making this the flagship desktop computer for the brand.
