There are plenty of things that accompany a new iPhone release. There are the inevitable rumors, then the ever-increasing number of leaks and supposed dummy models that start to appear thanks to third-party case manufacturers and the like. But there’s a third feature of a new iPhone release that is arguably even more characteristic of the Apple community, and that’s the 3D render of the unreleased device itself.
We’ve already seen more renders of the iPhone 6 than we can even begin to count, and most of them are pretty bad if not worse. Some are good though, especially when they’re based on actual facts that we’re already fairly sure are accurate. After all, who wants to look at what someone thinks an iPhone will look like when they’re basing the render on nothing other than guesswork?
Sometimes though, we come across a render that’s absolutely gorgeous, and we’ll have to put this effort from the YouTube channel ‘ConceptsiPhone’ firmly in that category. Based on what we already expect from the 4.7-inch iPhone 6, the render shows the handset in a variety of colors based on those offered with the current iPhone 5c handset. We hadn’t really thought about it until now, but that red iPhone 6 render has us thinking that this may be the first time we don’t opt for the black option.
Maybe.
The video is based on the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 which is dead certain to see the light of the day this fall, but Apple is also believed to be hard at work on a 5.5-inch phablet monster, too. We’re still not convinced about the wisdom of going quite so large when the iPad mini with Retina display is something that’s already available, but what do we know?
Expect a sales call in 6-months saying the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 has broken all sales records, then.
What do you think about the concept? Do you think Apple should offer the next-gen iPhone in even more color options? Like we said before, the red one looks nice, and is enticing enough over the other, already-existing color options.
We know what we might want. But what about you?
