According to a new video by EverythingApplePro and some newly leaked iPhone 13 CAD images, the 2021 iPhones will feature a slightly larger camera bump as has recently been rumored.
According to the CADs shared, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max will all feature a ‘perfect square’ camera bump.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max camera will protrude almost 0.9mm more than that of the iPhone 12 Pro Max, too. It’s thought the change in dimensions is to allow improved cameras to be used. The overall thickness of the device as a whole is also thought to be growing by 0.25mm.
A larger LiDAR Scanner is thought to be behind the iPhone 13 Pro’s camera bump growing, making it 3.41mm taller and 4.81mm wider than that of the iPhone 12 Pro.
If all goes according to plan Apple will announce the iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max during an event in September.
Apple already has an event planned for next week with new iPad Pro hardware expected to be announced.
The iPhone 13 lineup isn’t expected to have any huge new features or changes, but a smaller notch is anticipated for the first time since it was introduced with the iPhone X in 2017.
