Apple is expected to debut the iOS 18 software update during the WWDC event on June 10 and we’ve already heard rumors that there will be a redesign in store.
Now, a new report claims to include an image that shows the updated Camera app.
Following a report earlier in the year that iOS 18 would borrow some design cues from the Apple Vision Pro, MacRumors says that it received an image from an anonymous source who claims that it shows the new design language Apple will unveil at WWDC.
MacRumors received the above iPhone frame template from an anonymous source who claims they obtained it from an iOS engineer. It will allegedly be included as part of the Apple Design Resources for iOS 18, which helps developers visually design apps using software like Sketch and Photoshop. We cannot attest to the authenticity of the image, but believe it is worth sharing because it is consistent with previous rumors.
It’s thought that the iOS 18 update will include more translucent elements than ever before, borrowing from the visionOS look that debuted with the Apple Vision Pro. It isn’t clear how that will expand beyond the image shared by MacRumors, however.
The iOS 18 update is also expected to bring with it some notable new AI features, with Apple said to be in talks with multiple companies about using their generative AI technologies.
