Apple told us more about the Apple Arcade game subscription service during its September 10 media event, and now it’s shared a new video about it, too. The video highlights some of the games that we can look forward to playing and runs a full 100 seconds.
Apple confirmed during the event that Apple Arcade will cost $4.99 when it kicks off on September 19. It’ll go live in more than 150 countries on day one, with a free one-month trial to get people into the swing of things. It’ll also be compatible with Family Sharing, which means all the family can get involved under a single subscription.
The full video is definitely well worth watching and highlights some great games. Frogged in Toy Town was shown during the event earlier this week, and definitely has our attention. Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm is a game that everyone will be looking forward to as well. The first game was super popular, and for good reason.
Big names like Sonic Racing and Pac-Man Party Royales also get some TV-time, too.
We can’t wait to take Apple Arcade for a spin. Games will work on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, and Apple TV with more than 100 games available on day one. None of them will have ads or in-app purchases, either. That’s worth the price of admission alone!
