On the eve of the Apple Watch going on sale, or at least pre-orders arriving at the doors of those lucky enough to get in before the lead times stretched out, Apple has made available its last three Guided Tours video demos which show users how the Apple Watch works across a range of different uses.
Having previously made videos available that highlighted how to send and receive messages, use Maps or take advantage of Siri, Apple has now made videos available that highlight Apple Pay, Workouts and Activity Tracker.
The three videos, which can be watched either via YouTube or the Apple Watch Guided Tours webpage on apple.com, all feature a narrator who describes the action taken place on a wrist-worn Apple Watch. The three uses shown off in the new videos are all likely to be of at least some use to most Apple Watch wearers, but with Apple Pay not yet finding its way outside the United States it is clear that not everyone will be able to take advantage of that particular guide. Rumors have pegged Apple Pay as being on its way to Canada in the coming months, with the likes of the UK also not believed to be too far behind.
One addition to the Apple Watch features shown in the guide is the fact that Apple has shown off the iPhone portion of the Activity app for the first time. A companion for the Apple Watch app of the same name, the iPhone version will allow users to see historical data based on their movements and exercise. If you’ve ever seen the kind of thing Fitbit does, then this will be immediately familiar.
The Apple Watch goes on sale tomorrow, April 24th but is already on back order for weeks if not months for most.
