New 20th-Anniversary iPhone 19 Pro Design Tipped

With Apple’s iPhone getting ready to celebrate its 2oth-anniversary a new report claims that it intends to announce a big new redesign for the iPhone 19 Pro.

According to Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman, the new iPhone 19 Pro will be a “bold new Pro model” that will be closer to Apple’s previous plans to make an iPhone that will “appear like a single sheet of glass.”

Writing in his weekly Power On newsletter, Gurman said that the 20th anniversary will see the iPhone go in a new direction, and its boldest yet. And yes, a new foldable version will also be in the cards.

But the company is preparing a major shake-up for the iPhone’s 20-year anniversary, including a foldable version and a bold new Pro model that makes more extensive use of glass.

Design features and changes haven’t been shared by Gurman, however, so it’s difficult to picture just what the new iPhone 19 Pro will look like. However, the addition of yet more glass to a phone that already breaks relatively easily will be bad news for those who drop their handsets regularly — and good news for companies that make cases.

With the iPhone 19 Pro not expected to be announced until September 2027, we still have a long time to wait before anything is made official. That also means that we have more time for leaks, so expect to hear more about this bold new model as we get closer to the big release.
