Mystery Bronze iPhone 16 Pro Color Could Be Called Desert Titanium

Apple has previously been rumored to be refreshing the iPhone 16 Pro colors this year, with the titanium finish remaining but with a tweak in the hues on offer.

Now, there are rumors that one of those colors will be a mystery bronze one, and we might even know what Apple will call it.

The bronze finish has been leaked previously but it was as-yet unconfirmed what the finish will be called when Apple unveils it. Now, leaker Majin Bu has posted to the X social network to suggest that the color will be called Desert Titanium. The color is expected to be made available in both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max variants.

“The desert titanium color is kind of dark gold, similar to the old purple color, relatively discreet and deep,” By said. However, MacRumors notes that this isn’t the first time that the same leaker has mentioned the possibility of a Desert Titanium color — they made similar claims back in February.

The so-called Desert Titanium finish is expected to replace the Blue Titanium that was offered to iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max buyers. Alongside that, a new White, Black, and Natural Titanium will likely be offered as well.

The new iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will join the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus when they are released later this year. The conventional wisdom is that the new handsets will be announced in September likely alongside a pair of new Apple Watches.
