Apple is back again with its Free App of the Week initiative, this time giving away a popular iOS gaming title that usually retails for $1.99 on the App Store. We’ve seen an array of motorsport related games land on the iOS platform but if taking control of all those races from behind the scenes is something you fancy, you don’t want to miss out on this one.
Motorsport Manager, as the name itself suggests, focuses mainly on building that perfect Formula racing team with you functioning as the brain of your clan. If you’re a fan of Formula 1 racing and have a decent understanding of how decisions are being made on and off the track, and most importantly, when, then Motorsport Manager will allow you to experience that thrill with this detailed simulator. The app was originally released back in August 2014, and this is the first time it has shed its price tag, though for limited time only.
With the extremely serious and exhilarating concept at hand, the game employs the use of toy-like tilt-shifted graphics which may throw you off your game just for a second, but it doesn’t take long for you to realize that there’s nothing here to be taken for granted or casually. Every decision you make will count, and ultimately impact the outcome of a race.

From a technical perspective, you can tweak your vehicle altering elements like G-forces, weight distribution and more, which is why giving your driver some pre-race on-track time is a good idea. If you have all the technical aspects nailed down to perfection or so you think, then go ahead and pit your team in a race and let your pulse pound away. You can also choose to view the race live on the track as it happens, or continue working behind the scenes with the team where all the major decisions take place.
