Microsoft today inaugurated their fourth Store in Fashion Valley Mall in San Diego, California. This store is situated right next to Apple Store where there were long queues today of people who are hoping to get their hands on the newly launched iPhone 4.
In order to attract attention of the massive gathering outside Apple Store, Microsoft called in professional skateboarder Rob Dyrdek who was signing autographs for fans. Promotional raffle tickets and gift cards for consumer electronic items such as Microsoft Zune HD, Flip HD and Windows based laptops were offered. There were also tickets given to first 100 people in the line for a chance to meet Demi Lovato – the first 1000 got VIP treatment for a show on Saturday which features performance from Demi Lovato.
All these attractions definitely brought a sizable number showing up at the Microsoft Store, but of course the queue outside Apple Store was far higher than Microsoft’s because of iPhone 4 launch.
