The news comes after an Xbox Wire blog post confirmed that Microsoft intends to launch the game on its subscription service later this year, as had been suspected ever since the company bought Activision Blizzard.

As revealed last week, we will have a special Xbox Games Showcase followed by Call of Duty®: Black Ops 6 Direct on June 9, 2024, at 10am PT, where we’ll share even more details on what’s coming in this all-new Call of Duty. Get eyes on the first in-depth look at gameplay in this dark new chapter of the Black Ops series.
This announcement might have been the worst-kept secret in gaming but Call of Duty fans will still be very pleased to have received confirmation that the new title will be part of the subscription they likely already pay for.
PC gamers won’t be left out, however. It’s also been confirmed that the upcoming Call of Duty installment will also be available on PC Game Pass, too.
