Apple may not have made the switch to USB-C for the iPhone, but it’s making better and faster strides in its other lineups. If you own a notebook or iPad that uses USB-C you’ve probably found yourself on the lookout for a longer USB-C cable, too. Apple makes one of its own, and right now it’s available at a discount, too.
Apple would normally expect buyers to spend $19 on a 2-meter USB-C cable, which is certainly more costly than some of the competition. Apple’s official cable has its merits though, and if you want to stay all 100% official, you can pick one up right now at a discounted price.
Buy: Apple Official USB-C 2-meter cable from Amazon: $13.99 | Original price: $19
This 2-meter charge cable with USB-C connectors on both ends
Ideal for charging USB-C devices
Also supports USB 2 for syncing and data transfer between USB-C devices.
This cable will work perfectly with the 2018 Pad Pro as well as the 12-inch MacBook with USB-C port with the 30W USB-C Power Adapter, 13-inch MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports with the 61W USB-C Power Adapter, and 15-inch MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports with the 87W USB-C Power Adapter. No, Apple’s naming convention isn’t great!
Still, names aside, all of those computers and of course the iPad Pro will work just fine with this cable. You’ll be able to work and play a little further away from a wall outlet than you would normally, and if you have a wall charger out of sight, having a little more cable to play with can be a great help.
Be sure to get that order placed before the price goes back up $5. And oh, there’s no discount code or anything to fiddle around with in order to bring the price down.
