Known for making high-quality accessories for numerous devices, Logitech has today announced a bunch of new cases for the iPad lineup under its new marketing brand “Logi.” The new BLOK family of iPad cases promises level of protection unlike before.
iPads are powerful devices whilst being one of the most beautifully crafted pieces of hardware available to consumers. However, this makes the iPad lineup pretty prone to some severe damage if dropped on concrete or tough flooring from a table height. The new Logi BLOK cases are designed with those corner impacts in mind, and of course some additional bells and whistles.
Logitech has announced three new cases: BLOK Protective Shell, BLOK Protective Case, and the BLOK Protective Keyboard Case. All three cases have squared corners which makes for a rigid yet absorbent protection, making sure that the weakest parts of your iPad – which are the corners – are protected by “the strongest part of its case.” Logitech says that the cases have been methodically tested to ensure that your iPad comes out unscathed with drops from up to 6-feet, but manages to constrain the bulky trait usually associated with such ultra-protective cases. The cases are only available for pre-order right now, with deliveries expected to begin by August 2015.
The BLOK Protective Shell is designed to envelop your iPad while adding a screen protector to the display. The case is simple and sleek, and does not add much weight or bulk to the tablet. This particular case is available for the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini, and will cost $39.99 in Black and Teal/Blue colors.
If you want to add a kickstand to your protective case, while retaining the BLOK’s ultra-protection, the BLOK Protective Case is what you’re looking for. Offering the super-absorbent polymers advantage akin to the Protective Shell, this particular casing comes with a kickstand allowing the iPad to be placed at any angle within a 50-degree range. The kickstand also doubles up to protect the screen when folded. The case is available for the iPad Air 2, and will cost $69.99 in Black, Teal/Blue, and Red/Violet colors.
Combine the aforementioned BLOK cases, and add a hardware keyboard to the mashup, you end up with the sleek BLOK Protective Keyboard Case. Ultra-protection + kickstand + hardware keyboard is the deal here, where the keyboard can be attached or detached from the case, and is wireless of course. The keyboard features dedicated iOS shortcuts as well for a comfortable typing experience. The case is available for the iPad Air 2, and will cost $129.99 in Black, Teal/Blue, and Red/Violet colors.
