It has been a day or so since the smartphone loving world was treated to any gossip surrounding Samsung’s latest addition to the Galaxy range of devices, the Galaxy S III. The much anticipated device has so far managed to surround itself with growing mystery, leaving Samsung and Android fans chomping at the bit to get their hands on it.
It may not be juicy and exactly concrete proof of the device, but a scanned image and list of supposed specifications has started to make the rounds, which is speculated to have come from a leaked copy of the official device’s service manual. The rendered image of the device that is present on the scans should prove to be somewhat familiar to those fans who have been following all of the previous stories with interest, as it looks remarkably similar with only minor differences. One of the immediately noticeable differences is the fact that this latest render contains some more dramatic feminine curves, giving the device a sleeker look and feel.
To be honest, the look of the device and the attached specification list that accompanies it does nothing except it leaves us in confusion, considering they seem to differ from what we have previously been treated to. The information on the document list a quad-core CPU running at a frequency of 1.5 GHz, as opposed to the quad-core 1.4 GHz Exynos 4 processor revealed for said device by Samsung itself today. In itself, this wouldn’t be a huge issue, but the fact that Samsung have confirmed the existence of a 1.4 GHz processor already is causing confusion. Past rumors have also pegged that the Galaxy S III to come packed with a 4.6 or a 4.7-inch display, however this document claims Samsung’s flagship device will go a tiny step further and treat users to a 4.8-inch display.
If you are one of the many who are looking forward to the release of the Galaxy S III, then the images and rumors more than likely won’t dampen your spirits. The image included on this latest leak is more than likely to accurately reflect the final product, but it may be worthwhile keeping an open mind about the technical specifications.
