After multiple images leaked in recent days Italian carmaker Lamborghini has now finally announced the Lanzador, the company’s very first all-electric vehicle.
The new vehicle has 2+2 seating, reports Electrek, but has a high ground clearance that makes it look a little bit like an SUV. It isn’t, but it definitely gives that appearance from plenty of angles.
Hard information about the Lanzador is difficult to come by right now but we do know that it’s likely to enter production in 2028. We also know that it has all-wheel-drive and e-torque vectoring on the rear axle, something that should ensure stability while on the move. A “new generation high-performance battery” has also been touted with new long-range capabilities.
As Electrek notes, and like so many cars that came before it, Lamborghini’s new EV is trying to make people think they’re flying rather than driving.
The interior layout is designed to make it feel like you’re the pilot, with active controls on the sports steering wheel, bucket seats, and dual digital screens. One screen is for the instrument panel in front of the driver, and the other is a retractable entertainment system for the passenger.
That all sounds very good, just as you’d expect it to. But with vital information still missing — including how much it’ll cost, we need to know more about the Lanzador before we get too excited just yet.
