Kodi 20.4 Nexus final APK for Android, and IPA for iOS, along with Windows and Mac versions has just been released for download. Here are the details.
In a world that is not short of different media playback and jukebox options, Kodi is one that has been around longer than most and now it has a new version for fans to try out.
The software has been a part of the scene for decades in various forms and the fact that it doesn’t cost a penny is just a bonus. Now, the team behind Kodi has announced a new update in a blog post posted to its website that details just what Kodi 20.4 has to offer.
As is so often the case with these updates this one deals with an “assortment of bug fixes, some backports, no real new features,” according to the Kodi team. That means that you might not need to rush out to download this new update if you aren’t dealing with any of the bugs that have been addressed.
However, there are some notes for those who are using Kodi on Android devices. The team added an update to its announcement post detailing an issue that is being investigated currently.
We’re aware of some (at this time) non-specific “input issues” on Android – buttons not working properly, for example – so we’ve halted the deployment for now until we understand more. We would also advise against anyone installing manually unless you know how to roll back. Please bear with us while we isolate and squash the offending bug.
With that in mind, now might not be the time to take the Kodi 20.4 update for a spin if you’re using it on Android. We’re sure that normal service will be resumed sooner rather than later.
