You can now download Phoenix jailbreak IPA to jailbreak iOS 9.3.5 on 32-bit iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. Here’s how.
To the surprise of many, an iOS 9.3.5 jailbreak is out now supporting all 32-bit devices. The jailbreak is semi-untethered in nature and is created by Siguza and tihmstar of Prometheus fame with some assistance from mbazaliy and Luca Todesco, while the UI has been designed by realkjcmember.
The semi-untethered nature of the jailbreak means that the jailbreak app will need to be re-run on every reboot for putting the device back into jailbroken state and will have to be re-signed and re-sideloaded using Cydia Impactor every seven days or so, depending on which type of certificate you have used to install it on your device in the first place. If you have a compatible iPhone, iPad or iPod touch 32-bit device running iOS 9.3.5, simply follow the instructions below to jailbreak your device and install Cydia on it.
Step 1: First things first, download Phoenix jailbreak for iOS 9.3.5 from here.
Step 2: Next up, you will need to download Saurik’s Cydia Impactor tool from Windows or Mac from cydiaimpactor.com.
Step 3: Now make sure Passcode and Find My iPhone are disable on your device. You can re-enable them after the jailbreak is complete.
Step 4: Now connect your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch device to your computer.
Step 5: Launch Cydia Impactor.
Step 6: Now simply drag and drop the Phoenix IPA file onto Cydia Impactor.
Step 7: Cydia Impactor will now ask for your Apple ID and password, enter them to continue.
Step 8: Cydia Impactor will now begin to sideload Phoenix jailbreak app to your device. Once it’s done, the app icon will appear on the Home screen of your device.
Step 9: You will now notice that the Phoenix jailbreak app won’t run. To fix this, you will need to trust the certificate through which this app has been sideloaded on the device. Simply head over to Settings > General > Device Management and trust the certificate.
Step 10: Once done, go back to the Home screen and run the jailbreak app.
Step 11: Now tap on “Prepare For Jailbreak” button to begin the iOS 9.3.5 jailbreak process.
Step 12: Now just wait for the app to respring your device and complete the jailbreak process.
Step 13: Once the device has gone through respring process, you will notice the familiar looking Cydia icon on the device.
Jailbreak is now complete. Launch Cydia icon from the Home screen and begin installing your favorite jailbreak tweaks!
It’s important to note that since this is a semi-untethered jailbreak, you will need to put the device into jailbroken state after every reboot. To do this, simply run the Phoenix jailbreak app and tap on “Kickstart Jailbreak” to put the device back into jailbroken state.
And of course, whenever the Phoenix jailbreak app certificate expires, you will have to re-sign and re-sideload it using Cydia Impactor again.
Enjoy the jailbreak!
