Jailbreak iOS 17.6 On iPhone And iPad [New Status Update]

Looking to jailbreak iOS 17.6 on your iPhone or iPad? Here is the latest status after Apple released its latest software update.

Jailbreaking is definitely not as popular as it once was thanks in part to Apple’s addition of features to iOS over the years that would previously have required a jailbreak.

Apple’s work to prevent the jailbreaking of devices has also had a big impact on the jailbreak scene, and it means that it’s something that is becoming less and less of interest to iPhone and iPad owners.

This new iOS 17.6 update doesn’t bring any big new features with it, but there is little reason not to install it regardless. Currently, no public tool is available to jailbreak iOS 17.6. Older devices that were previously jailbreakable don’t support this update, closing one potential route for owners of those iPhones. Those devices cannot be blocked by Apple because of the nature of their jailbreak exploit, but the lack of support for the latest versions of iOS means you’re out of luck regardless.

Beyond iOS 17.6, Apple is expected to launch iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 to the public this coming September with both updates currently available in both developer and public beta.

The new software updates are likely to arrive around the same time as the launch of the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro, while other software updates will also come to the Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro around the same time.
