If you are looking to jailbreak iOS 17.3 on your iPhone here’s what you need to know about the latest status update on the jailbreak situation.
Apple’s latest iOS 17.3 update is now available for download and you can install it on all compatible iPhones right now.
However, while we’d always suggest that people install the latest and greatest versions of iOS on their devices, those who are fond of jailbreaking might wonder whether this update allows that to happen or, if like previous ones, it’s a no-go.
Unfortunately, jailbreaking isn’t possible with the release of iOS 17.3 on modern devices, and older ones — like the iPhone X that has been jailbroken at the boot ROM level — don’t support the iOS 17.x updates anyway, so you’re completely out of luck.
That could change in the future but there has so far been little indication that it will change any time soon. With that in mind, it seems increasingly unlikely that you won’t be able to jailbreak modern iPhones in the near future.
That all being said, we’d definitely suggest that you install iOS 17.3 on your iPhone to ensure that you get all of the latest features including security updates and bug fixes. This update includes support for collaborative playlists in Apple Music as well as the ability to enable new features to keep your Apple ID and accounts safe even if someone steals your iPhone while it’s unlocked or has access to your passcode.
