If you’re looking to jailbreak iOS 15.6.1 on your iPhone or iPad, you’re definitely in the right place! Here’s the latest status update on what you need to know regarding iOS 15.6.1 jailbreak before you update!
Apple has now made iOS 15.6.1 available for download and while it doesn’t include any big new features, it’s always a good idea to get your hands on Apple’s latest updates to ensure you’re running the latest bug and security fixes.
Do that, and you’ll be sure that you aren’t suffering from any issues that could come back to bite you later. However, there’s another consideration to bear in mind — jailbreaking.
Whether you want to jailbreak is up to you, but Apple isn’t going to let you do it easily. In fact, depending on the device you’re using, it might not be an option at all.
Anyone who uses an iPhone X or older is good to go, and they don’t need to worry about any future iOS update breaking your jailbreak. That’s because those devices can be jailbroken at the bootrom level thanks to the checkm8 exploit. That’s a hack that Apple can’t do anything about that. You’re good to go but you will have to wait for developers behind Checkra1n to update the tool.
If you’re using a more modern device, you’re likely out of luck. Those with the latest iPhone 13 are better just updating for now, there is little sign that there is a new jailbreak just around the corner. It could happen in the future, but we can’t say for sure when exactly that will happen.
