Apple has now made available for download iTunes 12.5.3 for both Windows and Mac less than a week after the company released version 12.5.2 of the same software, this time bringing in even more bug fixes, stability, and performance improvements.
According to the official changelog of iTunes 12.5.3, this new version “fixes an issue where albums may play in an unexpected order.” It also “resolves a problem that prevented lyrics from appearing while listening to Beats 1.”
As mentioned earlier, while iTunes 12.5.2 from last week was also a minor bug fix update, last major update to iTunes was version 12.5.1 which brought in a completely revamped interface for Apple Music, matching colors and typography being used in Apple Music for iOS 10 Music app.
iTunes 12.5.3 was not the only update released by Apple today, with the Cupertino-based company releasing a slew of software updates for a number of its different platforms, including iOS 10.1.1 bug fix update for compatible iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices, iOS 10.2 beta 1 to developers with some new features and changes, macOS Sierra 10.12.2 beta 1 for Macs, tvOS 10.1 beta 1 for Apple TV, and watchOS 3.1.1 beta 1 for Apple Watch.
Coming back to iTunes 12.5.3 release, there are two ways to download it, with one being grabbing the direct download file for the platform of your choice from apple.com/itunes, and second more easier being grabbing it from the software update mechanism built into the Mac App Store, or from Apple Software Update utility for those of you on Windows.
