Apple is expected to announce new iPhones later this year, but we also expect that it will announce new Apple Watches, too.
A refreshed Apple Watch Ultra is set to be part of the lineup while a new Apple Watch X is set to celebrate 10 years since the launch of the original model. Now, we might finally have been treated to our first look at the device.
The CAD renders were shared by 91mobiles, a long-time source of these kinds of leaks and it appears to show what could well be the new Apple Watch X.
The report says that the renders show a larger model featuring a 2-inch display compared to the 1.7-inch display currently used on the Apple Watch Series 9. For comparison, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 has a display of 1.93 inches and that’s the largest display ever used on an Apple wearable.
The chassis size for this new device is said to be 46mm x 39.7mm x 11.6mm which means that it will sit somewhere between the Apple Watch Series 9 and the Apple Watch Ultra, and for that to happen the bezels would have to shrink considerably in order to house such a large display.
As for Apple Watch X rumors, they’ve centered around an expected launch in wither 2024 or 2025, but as already mentioned, the former is the one that would fit best with a celebration of the 2014 Apple Watch launch.
