What we like at Redmond Pie is nice simple apps that do one thing and do it well. Fitting firmly into that category has to be ipswDownloader – an OS X app built with the sole purpose of downloading the IPSW firmware files Apple releases for iOS.
Along with giving users a way to download firmwares for iOS devices for offline storage and updating, the app also checks to see if the selected firmware can be unlocked and jailbroken while even telling you which app you’ll need to work the magic.
You can download the ipswDownloader now for absolutely nothing but no Windows version is available as yet. Go indy developers!
