The long wait for iPhone 4 is almost over, well for most anyway. Apple has begun notifying customers that their iPhone 4 pre-orders have now started shipping. Apple has notified several readers about the status of their pre-orders through shipment notifications and FedEx tracking numbers of their iPhone 4. Surprisingly, some of those shipment notifications indicate a "Delivers By" date of June 23rd, a day before the official launch day i.e. June 24th.
But for others, this hasn’t been the luckiest weekend for them. Some have reportedly received email notifications from either Apple or AT&T, notifying them about their iPhone 4 pre-order being cancelled. The emails in question are as follows.
From AT&T:
Your iPhone order has been cancelled.
Your credit card has not been charged.
If you believe you have received this email in error, please return to the AT&T store where you placed your order.
Sincerely,
AT&T
From Apple:
Dear Customer,
We were unable to complete the authorization process for your iPhone order. As a result, we had to cancel your iPhone order. To complete the purchase of your iPhone, please visit an Apple Retail Store or an AT&T company-owned retail store.
We apologize for this inconvenience.
Sincerely,
Apple Online Store Team
Therefore it is highly advisable and recommended that you check your iPhone 4 pre-order status now at www.apple.com/orderstatus and take the required action (if any possible) before it is too late. [via MacRumors, Gizmodo]
