Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Pro will keep its familiar triple-camera setup but introduce a brand-new rectangular camera bar with rounded corners, according to a video from Front Page Tech (FPT).
In the latest video, host Jon Prosser revealed that the camera bar will be larger than expected.
The three lenses sit on the left side, while the LED flash, rear microphone, and LiDAR Scanner are arranged vertically on the right. The phone also has a two-tone finish, with the camera bar appearing darker than the rest of the back.
It’s unclear if this redesign offers any functional benefits or if it’s just for looks. Prosser, who says he has seen the device, claims his information comes from multiple sources familiar with the iPhone 17 Pro.
The new camera design will likely be on the iPhone 17 Pro Max as well, though Prosser didn’t confirm this. The rumored ultra-thin “iPhone 17 Air” might also feature a camera bar, but with a single lens. Whether the base iPhone 17 model will adopt this design remains unknown.
Prosser has been a trusted tech insider for years, with a mixed track record on Apple leaks. He correctly revealed the AirTag’s design in 2020 and leaked details about the iPad mini 6 months before launch.
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 17 series in September, and more details will likely emerge before then.
