iPhone 16 Retail Box Contents No Longer Include Apple Stickers

Apple caused a stir a few years ago when it took the decision not to ship chargers in the box with new iPhones anymore, a move that other phone makers have since followed.

But now the company has removed something else from the box, and it’s sure to cause much consternation.

For as long as anyone can remember, the iPhone has shipped with Apple stickers in the box, but starting with the iPhone 16 that will no longer be the case.

However, 9to5Mac reports that Apple will at least give stickers to iPhone 16 buyers if they request them from an Apple Store. However, those who buy an iPhone 16 from a carrier or third-party retailer will be out of luck.

If you buy an iPhone 16 from an Apple Store, you can request an Apple sticker at the time of purchase, but otherwise, you’re out of luck. Third-party retailers and carrier partners do not have Apple stickers to distribute, and you also can’t get them if you order an iPhone 16 for home delivery.

This change comes as Apple looks to reduce the things included in iPhone boxes as a way to meet its goal to become carbon neutral by 2030. Apple says that iPhone 16 boxes are now entirely fiber-based, continuing a push to remove plastic from packaging wherever possible.

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro are both now available for preorder and will officially go on sale on September 20.
