Here’s iPhone 16 Plus vs iPhone 16 Pro Max comparison, and with suggestion on which one should you buy?
After all the rumors, the iPhone 16 lineup is finally here and it brings with it four new handsets. But which should you choose? If it’s a big-screen iPhone that you want, the choice is between the iPhone 16 Plus and iPhone 16 Pro Max. So, which should you choose?
There are a few different things to consider when you’re picking which of Apple’s monster iPhones you’re going to buy, and we’re going to run down the main ones right here.
The most obvious difference between the two new models is the display size. The iPhone 16 Pro Max has a larger display for the first time, coming in at 6.9 inches compared to the 6.7 inches of the cheaper iPhone 16 Plus. The display also supports ProMotion and Always On technology, so you’re going to want to go with the iPhone 16 Pro Max if those things are important to you.
Both of the new iPhones sport the Camera Control button, but the iPhone 16 Pro Max has a 48-megapixel ultra wide camera which is an upgrade over the 12-megapixel one on the iPhone 16 Plus. The Pro Max also boasts a telephoto camera that the Plus doesn’t offer, too.
Apple Intelligence is supported by both of Apple’s big iPhones this year, but the chips used are different. Apple’s standard iPhone 16 models both have an A18 with a six-core CPU and five-core GPU but the A18 Pro has an extra GPU core, among other improvements.
Other areas where the iPhone 16 Pro Max is better include the USB 3 support offered by its USB-C port, although that may not be a consideration for most people.
